The difference from other standard date stamps is that the indicator arrow is EDM sparked directly into the mold surface while the stamp itself is installed as usual into the mold (using a fastening thread in back).

(Please note: This smaller version of the monthly date stamp indicates every other month with a line to save space. For the standard configuration, it is recommended to purchase the stamp with the arrow only, combined with the month electrode for EDM machining of all 12 months directly into the mold surface.)
